In hindsight, I realize I wasn’t truly implementing what I learned.

Oh man, I remember that moment when I knew I hit my threshold of crap I was willing to tolerate at my job! It created a shift in the actions I was going to take, to make leaving my job a reality.

While attending a phenomenal event locally in Knoxville, Tennessee, for Women In Entrepreneurship. I had the opportunity to connect and learn from incredible women. It was also an opportunity to share my exciting news that last night I officially pressed PUBLISH on my very first workbook.

With it being Memorial Day, I wanted to take a moment to honor and thank those who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom. It’s an honor and a privilege to live here in the US.
With that freedom, comes the ability to make choices in our daily lives and careers that I feel extremely fortunate to have.
Before we relocated, we lived near a national cemetery. We got to participate in an event called Flags for heroes.
It always felt like such a great gathering of community. It's one of the things that I appreciated the most about the experience of placing the flags, COMMUNITY.
There is so much power in a group of people, on a mission, for a cause, gathering, smiling, helping, and being side by side.
To know you are a part of something greater, marching forward together. It's extremely humbling.
It reminds me of what it felt like to be thinking about leaving my job. I craved community.
It felt lonely, it seemed impossible, I was desperate to break the ties to the corporate world, but how?
There were other women who had “thought” about it, but weren’t actually taking steps to make leaving their job a reality.
